Oasis, Argyll Street.
Over the last few months we've been busy with the Aurora Fashion team creating the new OASIS flagship store on Argyll Street. Working with Dalziel and Pow as lead Designer, and the in-house store development team, we have stripped out the old store, refurbished the fabric of the building and facade, completed alterations to structure of the building to enable the escalators to be moved, and also fitted out the new store interior.
The 5500 sq ft project was completed in ten weeks by Oracle Interiors - although you can watch the work take place in less than sixty seconds below!

Ozdilek, Westfield Stratford
Whenever you stay in a luxury hotel, and after showering, envelope yourself in their deep towels and bathrobes - what is the next thing you do before reaching for the gin and tonic? Naturally you read the label that says "100% linen - Made in Turkey"....
Now we all know that Turkish linen is probably the finest quality, but where do you buy such luxurious bathroom and bedding wares?
Take a visit to Ozdilek in Westfield Stratford where you can sample their product range at first hand. Oracle Interiors have just completed their flagship retail store for the opening of the new Shopping Centre.

Massimo Dutti :: Regent Street
There's a good review of one of our recently completed store refits for Massimo Dutti on Regent Street in Retail Week. John Ryan covers the facelift project in some detail, interviewing Dilip Patel for a walk around.
"The idea that a store needs to be refreshed on a regular basis is as old as, if not the hills, then certainly the middle of the last century. The notion runs that, every so often, a store’s internal decor needs a bit of a facelift and that, if this doesn’t happen, like those of a certain age who have not enjoyed cosmetic surgery, things sag a bit and the cracks begin to show.
There’s been a branch of Inditex brand Massimo Dutti on Regent Street since 2002 and the road was, in fact, the first point of UK landfall for this retail format. Close to a decade later, it had reached the point where a number of minor alterations and mini-makeovers had been effected, according to Inditex UK and Ireland managing director Dilip Patel, but there had not been a full-scale rethink. Now the store has just emerged from a four-week revamp with a new look that Patel says is more in tune with the altered reality of Regent Street during the nine years Massimo Dutti has been in this country.
“The street’s changed a lot and there are a lot of new competitors,” he says. “There are still plenty of male shoppers, but now there are many female shoppers on Regent Street as well.”
It’s a view that signals a clear understanding of the gradual evolution of the street during the period. It has gone from a thoroughfare that for much of its length was filled with grand but somewhat timeworn shops that catered predominantly for men to a fully fledged fashion destination. And as such, the appearance of every retailer from Mango to Zara by way of, say, H&M has meant the gender balance of the shopper population along the street has also changed...."

Opening very shortly in the new Southgate Development we are working on the latest Timberland store.
This comes hot on the heels of the Jones the Bootmaker store which we also completed recently at Southgate. I've had a report from a leading retail analyst this morning that the store looks fantastic.

ALDO Shoes :: Yes we can
One of the interesting aspects of being involved in shopfitting is that you are never sure of what you'll be asked to do next. We are currently working on a re-fit of a store for Canadian footwear retailer ALDO in Camden High Street, and in keeping with the vernacular architecture, we are also applying a beautiful bespoke artwork to the whole building shopfront depicting the subcultural life of Montreal.

Retro glamour!
We're just putting the finishing touches to the latest Cath Kidston store which opens shortly in Chichester. The traditionally sign written fascia is something of a rarity, although we think it looks fantastic.
Cath Kidston has a great range of homeware, clothing, accessories and outdoor products. The home furnishings range is inspired by textured floral prints, and Chichester should prove to be the perfect location for this store.

We also completed the fit-out of their showroom in Harrods Luxury Goods department some time ago. It's worth a visit if you are thinking of sprucing up your bathroom or living room...

Juicy Couture Flagship in Bruton Street.
Interesting feature in Draper's Review on the shop that we recently completed for Juicy Couture in Bruton Street Mayfair....
"“Excess all areas” might provide an executive summary of the visual merchandising technique employed in this store, and for pure invention, this one really takes some beating.
.....The most visually merchandised store to hit London this year and a real shot in the arm for those who say that not much has been happening in the new stores world during 2009. The stock may not be to everyone’s taste, but this is an exceptional fashion"
